第4回世界社会科学フォーラム（福岡国際会議場）において「アフリカ潜在力分科会」を企画した。5人が発表を行い、多くの反応が得られ、国際発信の手ごたえを感じた。
この世界社会科学フォーラムは、International Social Science Council (ISSC)が3年に一度開催するフォーラムで、多様な学問分野や関連機関を横断し学際的議論を深める場である。第4回大会は、『持続可能な未来のための生存・安全の確保』をメインテーマに、世界が直面している人間の安心、安全、生存基盤の確保という問題がとり上げられた。各発表タイトルは以下のとおりである。
