From November 21 to 24, 2013, the 56th annual meeting of African Studies Association was held at Marriott Baltimore Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, with a theme of the conference “Mobility, Migration and Flows”. We organized an oral panel session titled “New Developments in Analyses of East African Pastoralist Violence” at 14:45-16:30 on November 23, 2013.
