Research Fields | I have conducted research in three areas: Sahel zones, savanna zones, and forest zones in western Africa (Niger and Ghana). I have focused on the livelihood of the people in Sahel and savanna zones and on the inter-regional and inter-ethnic linkage of the people mainly through trade of kola nuts, which are local produce from the forest area. I would like to study how people in western Africa collaborate and build new relationships in the midst of an active human exchange and logistics flow brought by changes in living conditions due to environment issues, developments in infrastructure, and globalization. |
